Shannon Wood is the Advocacy Manager at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). Ms. Wood supports the organization’s advocacy work by fostering collaboration among key stakeholders across the federal government, the non-governmental organization community, and the private sector for the purpose of advancing innovative and enduring climate-smart policies.
Prior to joining C2ES, Ms. Wood was on the U.S. Government Affairs team at the World Resources Institute, an organization focused on the nexus of people, nature, and climate. In this role, she coordinated legislative engagement, authored and contributed to publications, and conducted analysis on climate and clean energy policy. She also has experience working in climate-focused policy and legislative engagement for Panasonic North America, WWF, Rep. Slotkin (D-MI-7), and Sen. Peters (D-MI).
Ms. Wood graduated with a B.A. from the George Washington University, where she studied political science, journalism, and sustainability studies.
