Kira Presley is the Net Zero Pathways, Business Engagement Coordinator at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), where she primarily works to provides business engagement and outreach support for a range of C2ES programming under the Net Zero Pathways Project. Ms. Presley engages businesses across the four critical-path technology working groups, regional roundtables, policy advocacy campaigns, and C2ES’s Business Environmental Leadership Council.
Before joining C2ES, Ms. Presley was a Student Research Instructor at UCLA, teaching undergraduate students how to successfully execute community-engaged research projects on topics ranging from environmental antibiotic resistance to dietary carbon footprinting. Prior to this role, Ms. Presley was the U.S. Climate Policy Intern at C2ES, working to track and analyze U.S. climate policy developments, support C2ES’s critical path technology working groups, and cover relevant events for C2ES’s outreach and advocacy team.
Ms. Presley graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies with a concentration in Environmental Systems and Society. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the various pockets of nature dotted around Los Angeles and spending time with Camp Kesem’s LA community.
