Advancing Action: The Global Stocktake, Mission 1.5, and the Importance of Early Warning Systems

The conclusion of the first global stocktake (GST) at COP28 in 2023 marked a critical moment in the Paris “ambition cycle.” The GST outcome urged Parties and non-Party stakeholders to accelerate climate action, encouraging international and enhanced cooperation on the implementation of multilateral environmental conventions and agreements. • How can Mission 1.5 catalyze enhanced international cooperation under the Troika’s leadership in 2025 and beyond?
