The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions welcomes and appreciates the generous support of charitable foundations, governments, individuals, and businesses, including members of the Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC). As a fully independent organization, C2ES is solely responsible for its positions, programs and publications, and abides by the following principles:
We ensure funding is mission-driven: Our mission is to secure a safe and stable climate by accelerating the global transition to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and a thriving, just, and resilient economy. We do not accept funding that conflicts with or diverts us from our mission.
We maintain our independence: C2ES is widely recognized in the United States and abroad as a credible, independent force for pragmatic climate action. We maintain full editorial control of our reports, briefs, blogs, and policy recommendations.
We promote transparency: Contributions of $500 or more are acknowledged in our annual report, which is posted on our website along with our most recent audit and 990 tax return. BELC members are listed in the annual report and on our website.
We value our donors’ privacy: We will consider granting anonymity to individual donors who request it. We do not sell or trade the contact information of our donors.
A list of our funders as well as stories of our accomplishments from past years are included in our annual reports below.
