Ann R. Klee is the is chair of the Board of Directors for the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions.
Ms. Klee was most recently executive vice president of national business development and government relations at Suffolk.
Before joining Suffolk, Ms. Klee served as GE’s vice president of environment, health & safety, leading a global organization responsible for protecting the company’s 300,000 employees, compliance and risk management, and sustainability. She also served as vice president for Boston development and operations and president of the GE Foundation.
Prior to her career at GE, Ms. Klee was a partner and co-chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Group of Crowell & Moring, LLP, based in Washington DC. She spent 12 years in senior positions in the federal government, including as General Counsel of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Counselor and Special Assistant to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior, and Chief Counsel to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
In addition to C2ES, Ms. Klee also serves on the Board of Directors of Sotera Health LLC, Wabtec Corporation (NYSE:WAB), University of Pennsylvania Law School Board of Overseers, WGBH Board of Trustees, and Boston Harbor Now.
Ms. Klee received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and her B.A. in Classics with High Honors from Swarthmore College. She and her husband divide their time between Boston and their farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
